SUSTAINABILITY

Fostering a sustainable culture in healthcare.

CARBON REDUCTION PLAN

Open Medical is committed to achieving carbon neutrality. Our aim is to achieve 'Net Zero' emissions by 2040.

OUR SUSTAINABILITY
& NET ZERO WORK

We have been awarded a research grant and we are seeking to understand the extent to which our software, Pathpoint reduces the carbon footprint of clinical workflows.

SUSTAINABLE PATIENT CARE

We strive to provide long-term care with minimal costs to the environment or society, and without compromising the quality of the care delivered or increasing population burden.

We reduce patient costs and wait times by minimising unnecessary travel to physical healthcare locations, and providing care closer to home via remote consultations and monitoring.

SUSTAINABILITY IN THE WORK ENVIRONMENT

IN OFFICE

  • Our team is our greatest asset, and so in recognition, we offer mental health days to support our diverse and inclusive workplace.

  • Paper-light approach to printing.

  • Cycle-to-work scheme.

  • Recycling policy.

  • No purchasing of plastic water bottles.

  • Private health insurance.

OUTSIDE OF THE OFFICE

  • Our main source of environmental impact stems from our travel to sites for product implementation. This is mitigated by an electric company fleet, ride-sharing and conducting virtual training where possible.

  • Our supply chain has a minimal environmental impact as all engineering is done in-house running on the United Kingdom's electrical grid.
